- 첫 곡의 방정맞은 리듬은 "뭐야 이거?"라는 생각이 들게 하였지만, 한결같이 밀고 나가는 앨범은 플레이가 될수록 공포감이 밀려오는데, 그 오싹함은 오히려 더하다.

- 여러 웹진에서 [Blue Record]가 좋다고들 난리지만(올해의 앨범 목록에도 자주 보인다), 나에겐 그렇게 좋게 들리지 않는다. 레드 앨범에서도 좋아하던 곡은 가장 이질적인 곡이라고 할 수 있는 <Wailing Wintry Wind>였지만, 그 곡을 빼면 다른 곡은 듣는 내내 답답함이 느껴져서 듣기가 힘들었다. 개인적으론 블루 레코드 앨범을 <Wailing Wintry Wind>같은 색깔로 밀고 나갔으면 했었지만, 개인적인 바람은 개인적인 바람일 뿐이었다. 그래도 앨범 자켓은 역시라는 말이 나온다. 레드 앨범이나 블루 레코드 앨범도 자켓은 정말 좋다.

+ 프레스에서는 썩 좋은 평가를 받지 못하지만, 리스너들에게는 좀 더 후한 평가(RYM의 Ratin이 생각보다 높다)를 받는 밴드. 처음엔 Bono, Jeff Buckley와의 유사성으로 많이 언급되었었다. 솔로 앨범에 가까웠던 데뷔 앨범 이후 좀 더 밴드다운 사운드를 들려준 앨범. <If Flowers Turn>과 같은 의외의 곡도 있다. 이 앨범 이후 레이블과의 불화 때문인지 6년의 공백 이후 2008년에 [Mercy (Dancing for the Death of An Imaginary Enemy)]를 America에서 발표했다. 메이저 레이블에서 발매해서 그런지 모든 앨범이 수입됐다.

+ 간만에 예전에 즐겨듣던 음악(대부분이 메탈인)을 포스팅 해볼까 한다. Garm의 후임으로 ICS Vortex (Simen Hestnaes)가 보컬을 맡은 앨범이다. ICS Vortex (Simen Hestnaes)는 기묘하게도 Arcturus에서도 Garm이 탈퇴한 후 그 자리를 메웠었다. 현재는 Dimmu Borgir에서 약간의 보컬과 베이스를 맡고 있다. 난 전통적인 블랙 보컬(스크리밍으로 가득 찬)은 별로 좋아하질 않고, 클린톤을 적당히 섞어주면 좋아라 한다.

+ 요즘 블로그 로딩 속도가 너무 느려져서 텍스트큐브를 업그레이드 하면서 그런가 하고 여기저기 검색을 해봤는데, 문제는 포스팅에 붙인 외부 링크(속도가 느린 외국의 서버) 때문이었다. 이미지를 다운받아 다시 블로그에 올리는 게 귀찮아서 Copy/Paste를 했었는데... More/Less로 이미지를 붙여도 페이징할 때 모두 로딩한다고 한다.
